Set in the heart of Atlantic Beach just three blocks from the ocean, Atlantic Beach Country Club is a family-friendly, coastal country club that offers an unforgettable golfing experience. Members and guests enjoy the unique Florida landscaping, native wildlife, beautiful climate and warm ocean breezes while playing. The 18-hole championship golf course is a 6,815-yard, Par 71 and offers multiple sets of tees, making the course both exciting and also challenging for players of every skill level.
 
The golf course at Atlantic Beach Country Club (previously Selva Marina Country Club) is steeped in rich history, having hosted the Greater Jacksonville Open where golf legend Jack Nicklaus recorded his first double eagle in tournament competition on the 18th hole in 1966. More recently, Atlantic Beach Country Club proudly hosted the prestigious Web.com Tour Championship in 2016, 2017, and 2018 and received abundant praise for its impressive conditions.



ERIK LARSEN REDESIGNED COURSE

World-renowned golf course architect, Erik Larsen, redesigned the historic golf course and Atlantic Beach Country Club opened its doors late in 2014. Larsen has been involved in golf course design since 1983 and has designed over 98 golf courses across the world.   Atlantic Beach Country Club is special to him, located in his hometown. His design concept is a risk vs. reward-style course. According to Larsen, “The further you hit the ball the harder the course gets. If you get risky on your tee shot and take an aggressive angle, you will be rewarded on your next shot.” He also stated the importance of designing the course to appeal to each specific class of player.  “The trick to a good golf course is making it hard for the good players and fun for the average golfer.  I want to see the top players in the area walk off the 18th green and talk about how demanding the course is.”
 


 



 


A COURSE DESIGNED FOR ALL

Great care was taken to maximize the beauty of the course by integrating native North Florida ecology into the design. The gentle flow of the course and the stunning natural beauty will delight every golfer. Notable features of the golf course include the natural cart paths and the walkability of the course.
 
Players of each level enjoy honing their skills at the golf practice facilities, which includes a 350-yard single sided practice range, an undulated putting green, and a short game area which reflects shots golfers will see on the course.

Lessons and clinics are available to our members from our talented team of professional golf instructors. Players of all ages and levels enjoy quality instruction at the practice facility and on the course.

VIRTUAL PROSHOP

Our full-service pro shop is well stocked with the latest tennis fashions, racquets, and merchandise. Racquet stringing and regripping are also available.
